BOP!!!

You are probably wondering to yourself....what is this post going to be about? Or maybe you are wondering...what does BOP mean? Well, heck if I know, but it is the funniest thing around this house. I am not really sure how this all started, but many, many months ago Kiera started saying, "BOP!" really loud and matter of factly and then looking around with a smile. I thought it was baby talk for: "Now I just told a really funny joke, so laugh!" So I would laugh, like any obedient mother would. Well now months later it is by far the funniest thing around. Kiera will just randomly yell out "BOP" and Kevin and I will die laughing. We truly have no idea what the heck BOP means. Now all we have to say is, "Kiera tell us a joke" and she will very quickly come back with a BOP!

So, while we were visiting the family this past weekend, we were all at dinner and Kiera was between her two nine year old boy cousins. In the middle of dinner, she turns to them and says, "BOP!" Well, see they did not get the funniest joke in the world. So she looked back and forth at both of them and said, "BOP!" Again, they missed the joke. Luckily, Kevin and I heard it from our end of the table and gave her a good laugh.

This past month, Kiera has decided to forego all naps. Fine with me, but she still frequents the crib every afternoon for at least an hour. Usually she just plays and plays until she is fed up with the few toys in her crib. Well today while checking my email, I hear her:

"BOP" she says to herself.
Ha Ha Ha Ha (she laughs big belly laughs to herself)

again....
"BOP!!!"
Ha HA HA HA (big belly laughs)

This went on for a few minutes and I laughed til I nearly cried. She is in there practicing her joke telling skills. She is just the funniest little thing! I love her to death!
