September in Houston is usually a dreadful month weatherwise. Temps still push 90 degrees and the humidity is unbelieveable. I think the fact that the rest of the country is enjoying "Fall like" weather adds another punch. So, when do most major hurricanes hit and cause power outages? Yep, September! Rita was horrible not because of the wind and rain, but because of the nearly 100 degree weather that accompanied it during the unprecedented evacuation that occurred here. People actually died evacuating in their cars. Sad!
But, this time God gave us a gift. Monday night a glorious Northernly cool front blew threw the air and tickled the cheeks of those without power. Low temperatures danced around 60 degrees and high temperatures did not dare past 83 degrees. Only God could have given us this wonderful gift in one of the historically hot months of the year! All week we have enjoyed some "Fall like" weather.
So, we took full advantage and went to our playground to enjoy His gift!
Kiera would swing all day if you allowed her:
