Happy Birthday
Kiera
Just 2 years ago, God blessed us with the most amazing gift:

The above picture was taken just a few days ago and truly captures Kiera's true personality. She is so sensitive and sweet and has an abundance of love for living and non-living humans and creatures. Everyday, you will catch her truly loving on someone or something. In this picture she is sharing some love with a Madame Alexander doll that I got as a gift for her at one of my baby showers. Kiera has never held it before.
Now for a walk down memory lane....
December 16th, 2006 and was a big day in the Simpson household. It started at 5:30 am with a phone call to Texas Women's hospital to see when and if they could fit us in for our scheduled induction. They said we could come in that morning. Kevin and I were so excited, we could hardly contain ourselves. Off we went and after a long drawn out labor, it was decided that Kiera would arrive via c-section.
At 8:10 p.m. our lives were changed forever as our little 7 lb 9oz bundle arrived
at the perfect length of 19.5 inches!
Within minutes, we captured our first family photo:

Time went on, and our little bundle grew and grew. Her head became covered with the most beautiful red hair (from Mommy) and then her eyes started clearing to a deep beautiful blue (from Daddy). She touched our hearts as her wonderful little personality emerged! Here is a little glimpse of some of Kiera's sweet personality at just six months:

The months came and went and our hearts continued to expand with more love than we ever knew possible. We planned a big celebration for our little one's first birthday. We had her dedicated to the Lord in front of our closest friends. Here she is in her dedication dress made by her Granny Rebecca and sewn from her Aunt Aimee's wedding dress:

Just as we reminisced one year, another one passed. Kiera turned into a beautiful little girl who is quiet and musical like her daddy's family, but independent and loving like her mother's family. She is smart, compassionate, and sensitive as well.
Today, we took cupcakes to her school and celebrated our little girl's 2nd birthday:
Kiera, we love you more than you will ever know or you could ever imagine. In the last two years, you have touched our lives in an amazing way. We knew we were blessed on December 16th, 2006, we just had no idea how much!Happy Birthday, Baby!
