Kiera's First Time on Stage

and she did not cry...I am so proud of her.

Thursday started like any other Thursday. Kiera had preschool. But, it ended in something we had been waiting for since September...Kiera's Christmas Presentation. To celebrate the holidays, her class had a small Christmas party. Kevin and I both got to attend. At first, she did not know we were in the room. She was sitting like a good little student listening to one of her favorite books: Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?
It wasn't long before she realized we were there and then wanted nothing to do with school anymore.
So the school day ended with an ice cream party and gift opening. The teachers gave all of the kids a gift. It was so sweet. The kids gave us a handmade Christmas card and a letter to mail to Santa with cut outs of what they wanted. Too cute.

Then the big night came. Our little Boo, who just turned 2, would be on stage. I prayed and prayed no one would be sick for the big event.

The ones, twos and young threes class was all on stage at once. The ones (Kiera's class) was seated in the front. Not one of them sang, but one of her little friends sitting next to her, got up and busted a move:

Finally, Kiera warmed up to the idea and started clapping. She is the one in the center right below the girl standing in the navy blue dress. You can still see her little friend busting a move and also catch a glimpse of their adorable reindeer shirts. They were made with their handprints and shoe print.

Then she even started ringing the bells, for the last song:
Ring, Ring, Ring the Bells
Mia (on Kiera's left) is looking at her like, "What the heck are you doing?"
It was very cute and very exciting. She did not sing (not that we would have heard her anyway), but she seemed to enjoy herself as did we!
