Poor Kiera. It started Saturday. I put her down for a nap and she was fine! When she woke up two hours later she was coughing pretty bad. The cough continued. Then the nose started running, then the fevers started. DH took her to pedi on Monday and he said she had an upper respiratory infection and her ears looked red. He put her on an anitobiotic to keep her ears from going into an infection. He also said we can give her Motrin every 6 hours for the pain/discomfort and the fevers. This morning I noticed her cough was more like a wheeze and she said like she was really weezy right when she woke up and had done nothing. So I took her back. She is wheezing, still running a fever, and has a runny nose. Pedi put her a nebulizer treatment 3x per day along with Pulmacort to help with the imflamation of her airways.
It is so sad to see a 10 month old with a mask on. I thought she would really fight it, but actually she does OK with it. She definately knows her face goes in the mask. I am already seeing a vast improvement. Thank God.

Poor baby.. She looks like she is doing well with it.
I am praying that she gets well very soon. For hers and your sake ;)
Poor thing - my neice had to do that when she got RSV - no fun, but those breathing treatments make a HUGE difference.
