100 things about me.....

1. I realized I was somewhat creative at the age of 19 while tutoring some kids. I drew a cartoon character that was on the pencil I was using and the kids were amazed! I had never really tried to draw before that.
2. I have since found out that I am pretty creative and love doing anything that works that side of my brain.
3. I excelled at Math all through school and even tutored other kids even though I had a tutor for math in 8th grade.
4. My favorite thing about my body has always been my hair, even though it got darker. NO denying I am a red head though, just look at Kiera.
5. Having Kiera brought Kevin and I closer and made us better people.
6. I love my daughter MORE than I ever thought possible. I sometimes think I kiss her too much.
7. I cried both times my ENT told me I had to stop nursing to take care of me.
8. I have more friends now than I have ever had in my life.
9. I love to entertain although it stresses me to the max right before people arrive.
10. I am the youngest of three and wish to have three of my own children.
11. When I am home alone, I close all of the curtains, because I don't like thinking someone might be looking in.
12. One of my most favorite shows was Unsolved Mysteries, now I like Mystery diagnosis. But, amazingly enough, I have never read a mystery novel.
13. When I first started teaching, I loved Math, now I loathe teaching it. With Math you either get or you don't and many times kids don't.
14. I know my times tables very well after teaching them to hundreds of third graders.
15. I taught for seven years, but hated year 2, 3, and 4. I had no idea what I really hated was the schools in Charlotte.
16. One of my favorite things to see in the world is the leaves changing color. I miss it terribly.
17. I thought I would hate Houston, but really enjoy it.
18. I miss my old church terribly and find myself not always wanting to go to the new one.
19. I love animals and am always afraid I will see one get hit by a car. I don't think I could stomach that.
20. I really enjoy blogging and reading my friends blogging. I feel like I have made some great BBFFs...Best Blogging Friends Forever.
21. I found out just a couple of years ago that I am deathly afraid of the outdoors at night. I am Ok if I am in a cabin or RV though.
22. A perfect day in my mind is about 65 degrees, clear skies and SUNNY with a slight breeze.
23. This is the second house I have owned and if I had to do it again, I would not buy it.
24. Dave Ramsey has changed me and my husbands lives and marriage!
25. I have been to like 15 countries and am not really itching to go to anymore. There is so much of the US I want to see.
26. I really enjoy golfing and am not too bad. It is an expensive sport.
27. I have always wanted to play the piano and even took lessons a couple of years ago, but didn't stick with them.
28. I like all types of music except Rap.
29. I used to think texting was stupid, but now I prefer it!
30. The longer my husband is home between trips, the more I miss him when he is first gone.
31. My husband drives the car I bought myself in 1996 and is very proud of it and that makes me feel so good!
32. I aspire to be a gardner, but hate the heat.
33. Turning on music helps me clean.
34. Sometimes a whole day will pass without me turning on the TV.
35. I think I am addicted to checking my email.
36. I love to try out new recipes and have found I am a pretty good cook.
37. I really don't need an alarm clock, I have a very good internal clock.
38. I constantly make to do lists, but I don't always do everything on them.
39. I am thinking about homeschooling my children for part of their education.
40. I worked at Lerner Clothing Stores for one day. They made me fold about a 100 pair of jeans, so I told them my grandmother died and I could not work.
41. The best thing I ever did was marry Kevin. I have a life most people dream of!
42. I was deathly afraid of having a C-Section. I thought I was going to hyperventalate.
43. I thought Kiera was a boy until two days before the ultrasound. I had a dream of a little girl in my neighbor's driveway looking for me. She had blond hair.
44. I found going through IVF as sort of exciting, which would blow most of my fellow TTCs away.
45. I played sports all through high school even though I was no better than average. If I had to do it over agian, I would have gone into art or theater.
46. I smoked many times in high school, but never became addicted. I did it to look cool. Stupid me!
47. My least favorite cleaning job is emptying the dishwasher. I have no idea why. Maybe because my mom always made me do it!
48. I am not shy at all and hardly ever feel awkward in situations where there are lots of people. 49. If I had college to do over again, I would seriously consider Medical School. Infertility really interests me.
50. I hate, hate cockroaches. Did you know they can live a week without their heads?
51. I wish I were thinner, but am not very motivated to do anything about it.
52. Kevin and I had an outdoor wedding planned. I was in total denial that it would rain and had no back up plan. It POURED!!! It was so bad, people drowned in their cars in the city we got married in. The place we had our reception held our cermony as well. It turned out to be beautiful and a memory I will never forget.
53. My favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption. I think it is so interesting to learn about prison life.
54. I was only born with one fallopian tube which is most likely the reason I have infertility issues.
55. The best thing I ever did for myself was take myself to Europe. I visited seven countries in thirteen days. I had a blast and learned I could do anything on my own.
56. I used to be afraid to eat out alone, now I don't mind it at all. Beats cooking for one
57. If my house is dirty or cluttered, I feel overwhelmed and am completely stressed.
58. I believe I have made a life-time best friend since my daughter has been born. I am not sure we would have been friends if Kiera were not born.
59. I am afraid we will leave Houston one day and it will be very difficult to replace the life I have here in Houston.
60. I love earthy tones like brick red, brown and orange.
61. I am sort of unAmerican because I don't like ketchup. In fact, I wanted to raise my children never even knowing it existed until school. Kevin disagrees.
62. I visit El Paso about every other month. I sure wish my family would come visit me.
63. I had an easy pregnancy and really enjoyed being pregnant.
64. Kevin and I once went on an old steam engine train ride through New Mexico and Colorado. It was so cool and something I will never forget.
65. I have had one flight lesson and even "took off".
66. I really don't enjoy flying. It sort of makes me feel sick to my stomach, but it is the fastest way anywhere.
67. I love to play games. I really don't like games where everyone wins. I like to win!!!!
68. Kevin and I used to have a wave runner and I taught him to ski, wakeboard, and kneeboard. I miss the lake a lot.
69. My brother shot me with a BB gun when I was three. He told me it wouldn't hurt, so I let him. It hurt like h*$#. He got the gun taken away forever.
70. One of my favorite toys as a child was Little People. I loved creating a life for them.
71. I love candles. It makes a room warm and inviting.
72. I love to do crossword puzzles. I am hardly ever smart enough to finish them. 73. I am very good at organizing things, but get lazy at keeping things organized.
74. I wish someone would throw me a surprise party. I once had one thrown by my sister for my 13th birthday, but a friend told me about it.
75. I miss my Father who died in 1996. I wish he could have met Kiera and Kevin. He would be very proud.
76. I hate when men pick on women just because they are women.
77. I once pooped in my sandbox when I was a kid. I wanted to be like my cat. My grandmother saw me and I got in big trouble. I was soooooo embarrassed.
78. I sucked my thumb until I was nine, but never in public. I would have died if someone other than my family caught me.
79. My favorite time of year is Autumn. I like when things cool down and leaves change color. I also like it because it means my birthday and the holidays are coming.
80. When I was little, I could do nine front flips in a row with one breath in a swimming pool. Now just doing one makes me dizzy.
81. I really enjoy staying home with friends rather than going out.
82. I have always wanted to be a mom and would play "babies" until I was old enough to be embarrassed about it.
83. My favorite flower is the Star Gazer Lily.
84. I love to go to the movies, but my husband doesn't, so we hardly ever go.
85. I did not register for fine china for my wedding and regret doing so. I guess at the time, I did not realize how much I like to entertain.
86. My favorite drink at Starbucks is Pumpkin Spice Latte. I am glad it only comes out once a year or I would probably be sick of it.
87. I do not lie. I am very honest. Of course, I have told little white lies, but almost always tell the truth. Therefore lying is one of my biggest pet peeves.
88. I used to talk on the phone while I drove and then one of my friends was in a very bad wreck while on the phone, so I try not to.
89. I cannot sing, but I really enjoy doing so, especially to Kiera.
90. My sister is my best friend and probably has been since I was born. I hope my daughter has a sister who she is close to.
91. I have had three major surgeries in my abdomen all using the same incision.
92. I had Lasik surgery about six years ago. I don't miss contacts at all.
93. I do the bills in our house and really enjoy finding new ways of organizing them.
94. I feel like I brag too much sometimes.
95. I wish I were a better snow skiier. I know my husband wishes I was too.
96. I grew up in a divorced family, but felt very loved by my mom and my stepdad. The term *broken home* bothers me. My home life was quite intact.
97. I sometimes sign up for way too many things and then stress that I have to do it all.
98. I once won $500 playing Bingo with my grandmother. She may me split the earnings since she bought my ticket. She paid $9 and walked away with $250.
99. Parents who spank their children in front of me make me feel very uncomfortable.
100. I really enjoyed doing this although it was very hard!!!!

Wow we really do have a lot in common. And I am still laughing about pooping in the sandbox..

The sandbox and the BB gun ones cracked me up!

We have a big pontoon boat - so if you guys want to go out this spring - just let me know!! :-) John always loves an excuse to use the boat.

We have the same favorite flower!!
