Two for Tuesday

I am too tired for 10 for Tuesday, so how about 2 for Tuesday?

1. One of the reasons I am so tired is because Kevin and I have been working very hard on the house. We have made a to-do list a couple of weeks ago and been crossing things off ever since. One of the biggest things on the list was redoing the craft closet. Four years ago, Kevin made me a very nice craft closet with a custom made desk and drawers. It just never worked out because the desk was not wide enough and it was hard to get to the drawers. Also, when I would scrapbook with friends, I would end up lugging all of my stuff to the kitchen table and it was a lot of work. So, Kevin and I ripped out the desk and drawers and replaced it with a rolling cart for the Cricut and paper and a huge cart with organization bins. When I want to scrap, now I can just roll out the two carts and use the kitchen table. Here are some pictures:

2. This Sunday, Kevin surprised us and came home early Sunday. The whole family went to the Scarecrow Festival in Chappell Hill.
It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day:
We found a cute little petting zoo for Kiera. She was a little unsure at first and stayed very close to Daddy:
There were rabbits, goats, pot-belly pigs, donkeys, ponies, chickens, pigeons, and ducks in the zoo. Kiera enjoyed petting all of them (not sure why the picture is on its side):
We also let her get her arm painted. She really watched the lady as she created a black kitty. The lady also wanted to put a witch's hat...
(OK Lady, she is not even 2, she doesn't know what a witch is)

One of the things we bought was this super cute pumpkin shirt for Kiera. She really likes it. I paid wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much for it, but it gave me some great ideas for future holiday shirts that I could make myself for half the price.
Behind Kiera you will see another one of our projects...a storm door. Both Kevin and I think this is the best project we have done to our house. We love it!

We have been working VERY hard in our backyard. As soon as we put mulch down, we will take pictures and let you see!

Happy Tuesday!

I LOVE the rolly carts! That's a great idea! Looks like ya'll had a great time on Sunday - I'm going to have to check that festival out one of these days... I've been hearing about it for the last two years, but never knew when it would be.
