Boo's News

First of all... something very exciting has happened....Boo (aka Kiera) has found her nose! Now, this may sound like no big deal, but it is. Since Boo was about six months old we have tried teaching her this very simple command (I know, she is not a dog!) and she just would not get it. She eventually could point out Mommy's nose and Daddy's nose and even her baby doll's nose, but never her own. Lately she would laugh when we asked her where her nose was. Sort of like she was saying, I know but I will never tell! Well, the other day, I just casually asked her where her nose was and this is what she did (you better believe we got a picture):

We were very afraid that Boo would go to Kindergarten and a conversation with her teacher might go something like this:

Teacher: Is Kiera Simpson here?

Kiera: totally ignoring

Teacher: Do we have a Kiera in here? It's on the roster?!?

Kiera (casually): OH, that's me, but I go by BOO!

Later on in the day...

Teacher: Ok kids, let's see how smart everyone is! Show me where your nose is....

Kiera: Tee Hee

Teacher (after noticing all children have obediently placed their index finger on their nose except Kiera): Um Kiera I mean Boo, where is your nose sweetie?

Kiera: Heck if I know, my parents ask nearly everyday.

Teacher: Don't you worry, we have a Special Ed class for nose finding!

And so it goes, Kiera will not be in the remedial nose finding class!
